JACK IS BACK AND BRINGING SOME NEW ATTRACTIONS FOR
‘HOWL-O-SREAM’ AT SEAWORLD SAN ANTONIO
SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 8, 2009) – SeaWorld San Antonio is ready to provide some frightening fun for the whole family during “Howl-O-Scream,” a special program offered in the park during weekends in October.
All-new this year is a special Sesame Street show, “Countdown to Halloween,” where Nautilus Amphitheater is transformed into Count’s Castle. Come celebrate with Count Von Count and his Sesame Street friends.
Enjoy “Count Von Count’s Breakfast,” with your Sesame Street friends; it’s a great way to set sail for adventure at SeaWorld San Antonio. Come join us for a delicious and hearty meal! To make reservations, visit www.seaworld.com.
Bring the kids to SeaWorld for an adventure where magical creatures and unbelievable sights all combine to create a unique experience for guests at “FantaSea.”
Come see where it all began and discover “Jack’s” home of horrors. Get a sneak peek of where he was born in the “Den of the Departed.” All who enter beware!
“Creepy Creatures,” a SeaWorld San Antonio favorite at Sea Star Theater, encompasses live animals and special effects as guests join a professor to learn about these creepy animals. Guests at this thrilling show are sure to get chills as they encounter these critters live.
For the very adventurous, a trip through “Jack’s Frightmare Forest,” includes close encounters with Jack’s Corpse Creepers. As you walk through this forest of fear, “Jack,” SeaWorld’s resident party pumpkin will be entering your dreams and bringing your worst nightmares into reality. “Jack’s Frightmare Forest” will feature “family-friendly” times, from 4 to 5 p.m., giving families with young children a chance to walk through a less-scary version of the forest. Regular operation for the forest will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until the park closes.
Shamu’s Happy Harbor takes on a pirate theme during “Howl-O-Scream” and offers fun for the whole family. On tap are costumed characters, a magician, karaoke for kids and even a Pirate University for budding swashbucklers. Kids can also have their portrait taken with a variety of costumed characters. Halloween treats, such as cotton candy in spooky colors; cookies and pumpkins for youngsters to decorate; and caramel apples round out the fun.
Shamu and companion killer whales are also part of the celebration each evening during “Shamu’s Rockin’ Creep Show,” a special show just for Halloween. The show features graphics on the giant screen, other special effects and an appearance from Jack.
Many of the park’s pathways are transformed into “scare zones.” Werewolves, clowns, zombies and Jack’s pumpkin minions are scattered throughout and are ready to surprise unsuspecting visitors.
Bring the kids to do a bit of trick-or-treating while taking in the Halloween festivities. As they walk past Dolphin Cove, look for SeaWorld’s “Trick-or-Treat Street,” sponsored by H-E-B Food Stores and Crayola, where kids receive candy and other ghoulish goodies. Then, visit Sharks/The Coral Reef for a Halloween-themed dive show. A skeleton narrates as guests encounter fishes being fed special Halloween treats.
Join DJ Jackyl and his scarecrow friends of “Pumpkingdom” as they excite the crowd at the park’s Main Entrance plaza during “Pumpkin Bash.” Guests can gather for games and entertainment as they prepare for the arrival of “Jack.”
“Jack is Back,” a Halloween-themed show on a custom-built stage at the park’s Main Entrance plaza, will cap off each evening with the residents of “Pumpkingdom” all celebrating “Jack’s” rock star return in a family-fun dance party for all ages.
